In today's challenging environment, it's more important than ever to seize opportunities to learn and to share ideas with other credit unions—ideas that have proven themselves in real life. What will credit unions
look like? What changes will we see? How can we work better cooperatively?
THE Council for Credit Union Education is committed to providing an opportunity for every
credit union that serves members of the “educational community” among its larger field of membership—as well as ALL credit unions who have member education as a central tenet of their mission—to benefit from participation in ECUC.
The “magic of cooperation” will be the focus of presentations by new and well-known ECUC conference speakers. Dr. Jim Likens will bring updated information and ideas from his highly rated economic sessions presented in San Diego this past February. Tom Glatt will address “change management,” as well as the topic of “asset/liability management”—vital in today's economic climate. David Pearce Snyder, so well received at our meeting in San Francisco several years ago, will follow-up on his predictions for the future, as well as make projections for events to come. Discussion groups addressing what credit unions will look like, the changes we will see and how we can work better cooperatively will be featured. Our always popular open forums will round out our program.
Ample networking opportunities. Outstanding speakers. It all means our annual conference is the place to educate your board and management.
NOT JUST FOR “EDUCATION” CREDIT UNIONS
We've been welcoming more and more attendees to our annual conference from credit unions with a variety of fields of membership and markets served. We think that's because our annual gathering has earned a reputation as an outstanding, “don't miss” event. In addition to those credit unions serving educational communities, any credit union that has member education as a central tenet of its mission is welcome and is encouraged to attend. Don't hesitate to sign up, whatever your field of membership.
SOMETHING SPECIAL FOR GOLFERS—AND NON-GOLFERS, TOO!
Selected in the January issue of a leading golf magazine as one of the Top Ten Golf Courses in Central Florida for 2002, The Legends is recognized as one of Florida's finest courses and is a test of any golfer's skills. Legends hosted the Hooter's Tour Event in 2003 and the National Football Player's Association tournament in 2004 and is the official golf course of The City of Legends.
Attendees not participating in our Golf Event will be able to take part in many other Orlando attractions on Saturday, as well as Sunday. For information on special discounted rates and complimentary transportation, as well as the opportunity to take part in Disney Behind the Scenes—Epcot's Hidden Treasures Tour on Sunday, February 14, visit our web site at www.ecuc.org.
